On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, the Department of Chemistry, Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women, organized an Expert Talk on “Future Skills for an AI-Driven World” on 25 July 2026 through Google Meet.
The session was delivered by Dr. K. Thenmozhi, Associate Professor (Senior), Department of Chemistry, School of Advanced Sciences, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). The resource person shared valuable insights on the importance of developing future-ready skills in the era of Artificial Intelligence. She highlighted the significance of critical thinking, problem-solving, digital literacy, adaptability, communication, collaboration, and lifelong learning in meeting the demands of the rapidly evolving technological world.
Students gained a better understanding of how AI is transforming various industries, including science and research, and learned how to prepare themselves for emerging career opportunities. The interactive session motivated participants to continuously upgrade their knowledge and embrace innovation with confidence.
The program concluded with an engaging interaction, where students clarified their doubts and expressed their appreciation for the informative session. The expert talk successfully inspired students to develop essential skills required to thrive in an AI-driven future.
