Aurum club

Aurum club was inaugurated in the year 2016 when the department was started. The purpose of the club is to organize programs to develop awareness and concern for scientific principles in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. The club encourages students to enthusiastically participate in the activities organized by the club.

EXPERT TALK (26/02/2025)

 On February 26, 2025, the Department of Chemistry, in collaboration with the Centre for Student Development (CFSD) – Entrepreneurship Development Cell & Institution's Innovation Council, organized an Expert Talk on "Advancement in Thermodynamics: Pioneering Innovation in Aerospace Engineering."

The session was delivered by Dr. R. Thinesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Humanities and Sciences, RMK Engineering College, Kavarapettai.  

The talk provided an in-depth exploration of thermodynamic principles and their applications in aerospace engineering, highlighting recent advancements that drive innovation and technological progress in the field. Key discussions included energy transformations, efficiency optimization, and the role of thermodynamics in the development of modern aerospace systems.  

Participants gained valuable insights into how thermodynamic advancements contribute to cutting-edge aerospace research and industry applications, reinforcing its significance in engineering and scientific innovation.
