Aurum club

Aurum club was inaugurated in the year 2016 when the department was started. The purpose of the club is to organize programs to develop awareness and concern for scientific principles in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. The club encourages students to enthusiastically participate in the activities organized by the club.

INVITED LECTURE (25/02/2025)

On February 25, 2025, the Department of Chemistry organized an Invited Lecture on Molecular Spectroscopy as part of its academic initiatives. The session was delivered by Mr. G. Anand, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry, St. Joseph's College of Arts and Science, Cuddalore – 607001.

The lecture provided an in-depth exploration of Molecular Spectroscopy, covering fundamental principles, key instrumentation, and its diverse applications in chemical analysis. Topics included the interaction of molecules with electromagnetic radiation, spectral interpretation, and the role of molecular spectroscopy in structural elucidation and quantitative analysis.

Participants gained valuable insights into how molecular spectroscopy serves as a crucial analytical tool in research and industry, enhancing our understanding of molecular structures and chemical compositions.
