Aurum club

Aurum club was inaugurated in the year 2016 when the department was started. The purpose of the club is to organize programs to develop awareness and concern for scientific principles in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. The club encourages students to enthusiastically participate in the activities organized by the club.

INVITED LECTURE (20/03/2025)

On March 20 , 2025, the Department of Chemistry organized an Invited Lecture on NMR for MRI at 11:00 AM. The session was conducted by Dr. T. Lurthu Pushparaj, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Chemistry, TDMNS College, Tirunelveli – 627007.  

The lecture explored the principles of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and its applications in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Students and faculty members actively participated, gaining valuable insights into the role of NMR in medical diagnostics and research. The interactive session provided a deeper understanding of spectroscopy and its interdisciplinary significance.
