Aurum club was inaugurated in the year 2016 when the department was started. The purpose of the club is to organize programs to develop awareness and concern for scientific principles in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. The club encourages students to enthusiastically participate in the activities organized by the club.

INDEPENDENCE DAY DEBATE -2022
On account of 75th anniversary of Indian Independence Department of Chemistry conducted a Tamil debate on 02/09/2022 with title "Is it art or education that contributes most to India's development?" students expressed their views and opinions on it.
