Aurum club was inaugurated in the year 2016 when the department was started. The purpose of the club is to organize programs to develop awareness and concern for scientific principles in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. The club encourages students to enthusiastically participate in the activities organized by the club.

IIC Regional Meet Souther Zone was held at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology on 21/07/2022.The natural products of 'Milir' including varieties of soaps, organically dyed fabrics,organic pesticides and recycled notebooks were on sale.
