Aurum club

Aurum club was inaugurated in the year 2016 when the department was started. The purpose of the club is to organize programs to develop awareness and concern for scientific principles in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. The club encourages students to enthusiastically participate in the activities organized by the club.

49th CHENNAI TRADE FAIR IN ISLAND GROUND (19/03/25)


On 19th March 2025, students of the Department of Chemistry participated in the 49th Chennai trade fair in Island Ground. The stall put up by the students in the Higher Education Department of Tamil Nadu was showcasing their entrepreneurial skills with organically dyed t-shirts and enzyme-based products. Students performed experiments to create awareness about synthetic milk used for adulteration in the market. Their demonstration of non-Newtonian fluids, synthetic milk, and organic dyeing was interesting and attracted the public.
