 It's time to say goodbye and thank the final year students. An occasion to bid farewell to the final year students of the batch 2019-2022 of Department of Chemistry was celebrated on 30-05-2022.

2018-2021 batch has secured 

University First Rank with 95.91%. 

Miss. R. Vedavalli received her degree from Honourable Governor of Tamilnadu, R.N. Ravi, in the presence of our Honourable Chief Minister Thiru. M.K. Stalin and Higher Education Minister K . Ponmudy on Monday, 16th May 2022, at the 164th Annual Convocation, University of Madras.

Ms. Vedavalli recieved

Shri K.R. Sundararajan Memorial Medal, 

The R. Akkama Gari Medal

ECO TRIP TO HORTICULTURE PARK - 04/05/2022

Students of II B.Sc. Chemistry went on an eco trip to the Horticulture Park, Madhavaram on May 4, 2022. This trip was to encourage the student's natural curiosity. They observed various plant species, understood significant information of plant life and bought wide varieties of plants from the park.

HANDS-ON TRAINING PROGRAMME ON BIOGAS PLANT AND ITS MAINTENANCE - 27/04/2022

Aurum Club organized a Hands-on Training Programme on 'Biogas Plant and it's maintenance' on April 27, 2022. The Resource Person was Mr. D. Suresh who is popularly tagged as 'Solar Suresh' for his self sustaining and eco friendly lifestyle. Guidelines on proper maintenance and usage of the Biogas Plant in the college campus were given to the students of Chemistry Department.

STATE LEVEL WORKSHOP ON MOLECULAR MODELLING TOOLS - 23/04/2022

A State Level Workshop on 'Molecular Modelling Tools' was organized by Department of Chemistry on April 23, 2022 in the college campus for students with an objective to acquaint the students with knowledge on Molecular Modelling and conceptual background of Computational Chemistry. Hands-on Training on Molecular Modelling Tools was given to the students of various colleges.

VALEDICTORY CEREMONY 2021-2022

The Valedictory Ceremony for the academic year 2021-2022 was conducted on April 23, 2022 and was felicitated by Dr. V. Rajapandian, Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. Annual Report for the academic year 2021-2022 was presented. The Aurum Club's annual newsletter 'Catalyst' (Vol. 3) was released by the Chief Guest. Student achievements were discussed and prize winners of various competitions conducted by Aurum club were announced. This was followed by the inauguration of the State Level Workshop on 'Molecular Modelling Tools' by Dr. V. Rajapandian, with an inaugural speech highlighting the 'Eagle view of Science'.
