Aurum club was inaugurated in the year 2016 when the department was started. The purpose of the club is to organize programs to develop awareness and concern for scientific principles in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. The club encourages students to enthusiastically participate in the activities organized by the club.

 Pongal Celebration at CTTE College – Chemistry Department

The Chemistry Department of CTTE College celebrated Pongal with great joy and cultural spirit. The campus was filled with festive energy as students and staff gathered to welcome the harvest festival with God’s blessings and gratitude. Traditional decorations, colorful kolams, and the aroma of freshly prepared Pongal created a warm and lively atmosphere.

Dressed in elegant traditional attire, everyone embraced the true essence of the festival, reflecting unity and heritage. The celebration began with prayers, seeking divine blessings for prosperity, success, and happiness. Laughter, cheerful conversations, and cultural vibes made the event memorable.

This Pongal celebration was not just a festival gathering but a beautiful reminder of tradition, togetherness, and gratitude. It brought the department closer, filling hearts with joy and festive spirit.

 Nurturing Nature: A Step Towards a Greener Tomorrow

The Department of Chemistry at CTTE proudly organized an Environmental Field Visit for II B.Sc. Chemistry students at the CTTE Farm Land – an Organic Mango Garden. This visit was more than an academic trip; it was a hands-on experience that connected classroom learning with real-world environmental practices.

Surrounded by lush greenery, students explored organic farming methods, understood soil and plant interactions, and witnessed sustainable agricultural techniques in action. Every sapling planted and every lesson learned during this field visit echoed a powerful message — caring for nature today builds a healthier planet for tomorrow. Indeed, each tree we plant is an investment in a cooler, greener future. 🌱🌍

Research Plan Presentation (18/12/2025)

 The Department of Chemistry, in collaboration with CFSD, successfully organized a Research Plan Presentation at C.T.T.E. College for Women. The session was led by Dr. R. Kavitha, Assistant Professor and Dean of Finance, Department of Mathematics, who served as the resource person.

The event provided valuable insights into structuring effective research plans, identifying clear objectives, and approaching research with clarity and confidence. Dr. Kavitha’s practical guidance helped students understand the importance of planning, methodology, and feasibility in academic research.

Held on December 18, 2025, the presentation was highly engaging and informative, motivating students to think critically and take confident steps toward their research journey. The session truly reflected the spirit of learning, collaboration, and academic growth.
