Aurum club

Aurum club was inaugurated in the year 2016 when the department was started. The purpose of the club is to organize programs to develop awareness and concern for scientific principles in personal, social, environmental and technological contexts. The club encourages students to enthusiastically participate in the activities organized by the club.

 INTERNATIONAL TIGER DAY - JULY 29🐯🐅

Today, the students of the Department of Chemistry at C.T.T.E. College for Women came together to take a meaningful pledge for tiger protection and wildlife conservation.

 Pledge Highlights:

 "I pledge to protect tigers, preserve forests, speak up against animal cruelty, and support conservation efforts that ensure a better planet for all wildlife."

Through this collective action, our students have shown that small steps, when taken together, can create powerful change.

 Let’s raise awareness. Let’s respect nature. Let’s stand united for the wild.




Awareness Program - Caption cotton canal campaign (25/07/2025)

CAPTAIN COTTON CANAL CAMPAIGN - AWARENESS PROGRAM : HUMAN CHAIN FORMATION 

The students of the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, CTTE College for Women took a proactive step towards creating awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in our community on 25.08.2025, the students organized a rally and human chain formation at St. Mary's Road, culminating at Captain Cotton Canal.

The event aimed to educate the public about the detrimental effects of throwing garbage in streets and water bodies. The students carried placards and banners with slogans emphasizing the need for proper waste disposal and the importance of keeping our environment clean.

The human chain formation was a powerful visual representation of the students' commitment to this cause. It served as a reminder to the public that collective action can lead to significant positive change.

The rally and human chain formation were successful in spreading awareness about the importance of maintaining cleanliness in our community. The event demonstrated the enthusiasm and dedication of the students towards creating a cleaner and healthier environment for all.

 Student Induction Programme 2025 – A JOYFUL WELCOME TO NEW BEGINNINGS


The Department of Chemistry at Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women warmly welcomed the freshers of 2025 with a meaningful and motivational start through the Student Induction Programme. As part of the initiative, a special movie screening of "The Pursuit of Happyness" was organized on July 3, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Seminar Hall.

The movie with its heartfelt narrative and emotional depth, not only entertained but also empowered students to face challenges with courage and stay committed to their dreams.

"The Pursuit of Happyness" reminds us that success is not handed over but earned through persistence and belief in oneself.

BUILDING SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY FUTURE (30/06/2025)

 The Department of Chemistry at Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for Women (CTTE) took a meaningful step toward social awareness and community development by organizing an interactive session on the theme:

“Building Sustainable Community Futures.”

The event was held on June 30, 2025 , the session served as a platform for thought exchange and inspiration, focusing on how each of us can contribute to building stronger, more sustainable communities.

The event featured Ms. Nila Ramona, Assistant Professor from the Department of Social Work, CTTE College, as the guest speaker. With her academic expertise and community engagement experience, she shed light on the practical steps and collective efforts required to create sustainable futures that are socially inclusive, environmentally conscious, and economically balanced.

The event concluded with a strong message:

“Change begins in the classroom, but it lives in the community.”
