CHEMQUEST (2025)

Two Days of Curiosity and Chemistry

On January 6 and 7, 2025, the Department of Chemistry, in association with the Citizen Consumer Club at C.T.T.E College hosted CHEMQUEST 2025, a two-day celebration of scientific exploration and innovation. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 200 students from Shri Bala Vidyalaya, Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School, Perambur, and GKM Government School, Kolathur

Participants were captivated by exciting experiments such as the genie in a bottle, chemical chameleon, and the preparation of biodiesel. The program also showcased entrepreneurial activities, including the creation of organic soaps through the enzyme saponification process, testing food adulterants, and preparing natural dyes for T-shirts. These activities highlighted sustainable ventures led by MILIR, an organic-based company connected with the department. MILIR, registered with the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) under UDYAM registration number TN-02-0114939, demonstrated its commitment to eco-friendly innovation.

The event featured interactive sessions, a fun "connection" game, and a creative selfie stand, making it a memorable and enriching experience   for all. Special thanks to our management, Principal, and faculty for their unwavering support in making this event a grand success!

Additionally, the program showcased eco-friendly paper products crafted with sustainability in mind, along with plant-based dyes that promote environmentally conscious textile coloring, making the event both educational and environmentally responsible.
