ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPO - 07/04/2022

Department of Chemistry in association with Centre for Student Development organized an 'Entrepreneurial Expo 2022' and officially launched an organic product based company 'Milir' on April 07, 2022 at T. Thomas Auditorium. Milir is 'The Radiance of Nature'. Milir's principle objective of promoting nature friendly products derived from plant based materials involve few research based small scale projects of the students of Chemistry Department, thus creating a path for future entrepreneurs and women leaders. The Entrepreneurial Expo was inaugurated by Mrs. T. Vanadhi Devi, President, Southern Industrial Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Development, Chennai. The natural products of 'Milir' including varieties of soaps, organically dyed fabrics, soil conditioners, organic fertilizers, pesticides and recycled notebooks were on sale in the Entrepreneurial Expo.
STUDENT PROJECTS 2022
Students of Chemistry Department prepared varieties of soaps, organic cloth dyes, organic manure, organic fertilizer and pesticide and recycled used papers into notebooks.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT AND FIELD TRIP - 26/03/2022
Students of Chemistry Department visited Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd. located at Old Mahabalipuram Road, Sholinganallur, Chennai on March 26, 2022. The main objective behind the visit was to give students an exposure to better industrial and business practices in progressive economics. Students also visited the cultural heritage site 'Mahabalipuram' and witnessed the vibrant art and architecture.
